Round 7 Roundup

North Caulfield were finally knocked off the top of the ladder by their 4-3 defeat at Anderson Park to Rovers with Ashburton's 4-0 home win over Mooroolbark taking them to first place. With the Sherbrooke-Knox City game postponed, Boroondara Lions moved closer in 3rd place with a convincing 5-0 win over Ringwood City.

In the remaining game, Richmond beat Boronia 3-1 to move up a place to 6th. But there was no doubting the game of the round: Doncaster Rovers 4-3 North Caulfield.

The league now seems to be shaping up into 3 sections. With the top five all capable of getting a result against each other, Richmond and Ringwood are a few points back. For the bottom three teams, it looks like a battle to avoid the wooden spoon.
